Privacy policy

What we collect through this website, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

This website is operated by Sectech Risk Management Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 15190402, trading as Sectech UK. Our registered office is 11-12 Old Bond Street, Mayfair,London W1S 4PN.

We are the data controller for personal information submitted through this site. For any privacy question, contact us atcontactus@sectech-uk.com or on0207 118 1168.

What this website collects

We collect personal data in one place only: the enquiry form. That form is provided by Pipedrive and typically asks for your name, contact details and a description of what you need. Because of the nature of our work, what you write may itself be sensitive, so please share only what you are comfortable putting in writing. If a matter is urgent or particularly sensitive, call us instead.

We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking on this site, and we host our own fonts rather than loading them from a third party. As a result this website sets no cookies of its own and does not build a profile of your visit. The enquiry form may set cookies necessary for its own operation; those are described in Pipedrive's privacy notice.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have contacted us asking for a response, and replying is what you would expect.
  • To provide services you go on to engage us for. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including those attaching to a licensed security business. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for marketing.

Who else sees it

Enquiries are received into Pipedrive, our customer relationship system, which acts as a processor on our behalf. Email is handled by our email provider and this site is hosted by Vercel. Each of these is bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. Beyond that, your information is seen by the Sectech people who need it to respond to you, and by nobody else unless we are legally required to disclose it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become engagements are retained for up to 24 months and then deleted. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for as long as required for contractual, insurance and legal purposes, normally six years. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to our processing it, or ask us to restrict what we do with it. Write to contactus@sectech-uk.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Security

Discretion is the service we sell, so we apply the same standard to information about the people who contact us. This site is served over HTTPS with strict transport security, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it.

Changes

If we add analytics or any other tracking to this site, this page will be updated at the same time and appropriate consent will be sought before anything non-essential is set.
